My experince of using technology

I believe that the impact of technology today has completely changed how teachers teach and students learn. Teachers have learned how to use modern devices such as tablets, iPads, Smart Boards, and digital cameras to teach. It is undeniable that technology has had a significant and positive impact on the educational process.

My previous experience with technology:

So, during my years of teaching at school, I used Google Apps, YouTube, and the Smart Board. To present new topics, I mostly used PowerPoint presentations and the Smart Board. My school audience consisted of young students, which is why I used a variety of colorful images in my slides. Colors, in my opinion, can play an important role in memory. Students can remember which information belongs to which based on the colors. I also used various YouTube videos that were relevant to the topics. They made the lessons more enjoyable and simple to understand. I also mentioned that using technology in my classes, particularly the Smart Board, had an impact on the students' learning.

I remember when the government organized Smart Board in our school. Students were overjoyed when they discovered that their school had received new technology. Students were inspired to learn more as a result of it. It was difficult to learn how to use it at first. After a few trainings, I mastered my skills and began to incorporate them into my classes on a regular basis. I improved my teaching abilities with the help of the Smart Board.

Now I'd like to share my experience with Smart Board:

·      With the help of Smart Board I opened PowerPoints and Microsoft Word, which saved my time from having to write crucial key points on a regular board.

·  Presentations were a lot easier and ran smoother. Smartboard engaged my students with the lesson and encouraged students to take notes and facilitated active learning.

·    Smart Board enhanced cooperation and collaboration and made the class interesting and fun.

·   I prepared before class much quicker, such as incorporating PowerPoints into the lessons. Also, it is low maintenance, as it doesn’t require spray cleaning like a regular board.

·  It was easy to plug into any device, such as video cameras, digital cameras, microscopes, and other devices.

·  While using PowerPoints or a video, I could highlight any text to help students understand the important points of a topic.

My experience with technology in the learning center was a little different. Because my audience was teenagers and their most commonly used tools were computers and smartphones. Telegram was our the most useful app. I sent additional materials, worksheets, and links to each group. When students asked me questions, I tried to explain them through audio recordings or in written form.

However, I used Google Apps to create questioners, pie charts, bar charts, and slides. I used Kahoot for the first time in my teaching career at a learning center. My students loved it. It was easy to make presentations, quizzes, and true-false exercises.

There was also a website called "Wise Training Center." Each teacher had their own pages and groups, and we uploaded three-month learning materials, videos, presentations, and assignments. After completing each assignment, students were able to see their results as well as feedback for future improvements. Everything was kept organized and easily accessible thanks to the website. It was available, allows for search and navigation, and was simple to update with new information. Also, it allowed students to find previous materials, calendars changes, other important news, and resources.

In addition, to improve my professional development in 2020, I applied the course Information and Digital Literacy for University Success offered by Coursera.

After the course, I was able to:

·    access and search for information efficiently and effectively using a variety of digital tools

·         critically evaluate the reliability of sources for an academic context

·   filter, manage and organize information from a wide variety of sources for use in academic study

·      demonstrate awareness of ethical issues related to academic integrity surrounding the access and use of information

·    understand how to use digital tools for referencing and attribution in order to avoid plagiarism

·   understand how to disseminate and communicate information professionally, including managing digital identity and building networks for learning and research

Still continue to apply this knowledge in my personal and professional development)))
